What You Need to Know

The Homer Winter King Salmon Tournament is the premier fishing tournament of Alaska. Every March anglers take to the waters of Kachemak Bay in search of King Salmon. 
 
The one-day tournament awards tens of thousands of dollars in prize money to the largest kings caught. In 2016 over 1500 fisherman and 480 boats competed. Last year there was over $162.000.00 in cash & prizes awarded. 

There are also additional opportunities for side bets & prizes offered every hour of the tournament on the radio and Facebook. After the fishing lines are pulled from the water join the festivities at the weigh-in stations located at Coal Point Trading company on the Homer Spit. Join us for music, food, vendors, beer, and HUGE fish!

Registration will begin March 1st, 2017. Register ONLINE  March 1st - March 10th to be entered into a random drawing for $300+ in fishing gear & prizes!

  • Boat Side Bets: When registering online, you may choose the boat side bets you intend to participate in, but according to state gaming law, you MUST pay for those bets in person at the registration office.
